Learning Through Dance

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

Foothills Elementary has a dance and movement specialist visiting for part of November and all of January!  During her time at Foothills Elementary she will offer professional development to classroom teachers on integrating dance and movement into everyday learning of science, social studies, literature arts, and math.

Melanie Fillmore kicked off her first day dressed as Miss Frizzle and greeting students in the front entryway with a “trick or treat.”  Throughout the day she visited classes, playing Halloween themed movement games.
