Parents and students donated toys, school supplies, hygiene items, clothing and more, to make Christmas shoeboxes. These boxes were sent to children around the world who don't get Christmas, let alone any items of their own. We made 21 boxes as a class. These will be delivered this holiday season. Each child will get their own box to enjoy. We also included letters introducing our class and students.
Third-grade students enjoyed a visit from Salem's K-9 Cop. They learned how important and helpful police dogs are for the police department.
Faculty and students enjoyed singing around the Christmas tree during an assembly. Each grade level prepared a Christmas song to perform for the school; even faculty members performed a special version of The Twelve Days of Christmas for the student body. Students also had a surprise visit from Santa.
Mrs. Robert's third-grade class played violins and performed several Christmas plays for their parents. Great job students!
Second-grade students had fun decorating their gingerbread houses during their class party.
