3rd grade students had fun decorating their pumpkins to look like a character from their favorite book. There were a lot of creative ones this year. Great job students!
Happy Birthday to these wonderful students! Students had the choice to have their picture taken in the PTA photo booth on the last Friday in September. If your child chose to have their picture taken, click on the link below to download their picture.

We had a great and exciting activity this week mummifying our two class chickens. We followed the ancient process of mummification. We replaced the heart (a craisin) with a scarab beetle (almond) charm. We took out the insides (cooked noodles) and put them in canopic jars. We stuffed the chest cavity with linen. We then dried the chicken as much as we could with towels. We filled a bag with salt and put the chickens inside. We will change the salt every few days until it is mummified. It takes, on average, 40 days and 5 pounds of salt per chicken.
Thanks to Harward Farms for delivering pumpkins to every student at Foothills.
Students competed in visual arts, photography, film, music composition, 3D arts, and literature. Congratulations on a job well done!
Students did a great job dancing for their parents. They even had a chance to teach their parents how to "dance."
Congratulations students!

Second-grade students enjoyed learning about Johnny Appleseed. They read books, completed art projects, and made applesauce.
