What do ski planes, penguins, and deserts have in common? ANTARCTICA! After studying the article, Life On the Ice, in the their Journeys books, 3rd Grade students were privileged to learn about the finer points of actually living in Antarctica from Dr. Byron Adams. Dr. Adams recently returned from his annual scientific adventure in Antarctica where he studies the "wildlife" a.k.a. nematodes. Dr. Adams encouraged his enthusiastic audience to always be full of wonder, ask questions, and search for answers.
Congratulation students on a job well done!
Several athletes from BYU visited all the 4th grade students at Foothills Elementary. The BYU athletic program participates in a “Buff Don’t Puff” outreach program. The program is designed to educate and encourage students not to smoke. Students enjoyed listening to the athletes and participating in several activities.
