All 6th grade students participated in the annual Foothills Science Fair. Congratulations to the following students who will compete at the District Science Fair in March: Allie Dietz, Hyrum Gunderson, Savannah Harward, Alicia Heller, Amelia Hunter, Eli Johnson, Alex Lindberg, Calvin Marks, Samantha Ostler, Trace Palmer, Brady Pitts, Tyler Swenson, Mason Warner, Josie Woolstenhulme.
Carson Wright, a 2nd grade student in Mrs. Shipp's Class, shared his grandfather's military uniform and medals with his class.
We had a wonderful Veteran's Assembly. The Foothills Elementary Choir sang a medley of military songs. Local veterans came and the color guard presented the flag and led us in the pledge. They also shared their stories, and showed a film about the military.
If you ask and student at Foothills Elementary, “Does it pay to read?” they will tell you yes! Students were rewarded for their reading with books, prizes, cash, movie tickets, and more.

Foothills families enjoyed an evening of games and activities while learning about health and safety. Thanks to all the volunteers and businesses that helped to make the evening a success.
Sixth grade students at Foothills Elementary have been studying ancient Egyptian civilizations. Students had fun making sarcophagi to place their mummies in.
Mrs. Elliott's class has been very busy learning about the ancient civilizations that arose in the Fertile Crescent.
Student made Cuneiform tablets with ancient symbols while learning about the Sumerians. They also recreated the Great Pyramids at Giza, Books of the Dead, and mummies in their Sarcophagi while learning about Egypt!
