Mrs. Russell Receives PEAK Award

Submitted by corallee.findlay on

“Amy’s students are a priority. She takes the time to collect academic and behavior data on each student and formulates a plan in the first few weeks of school. She consistently meets the needs of every student in her class and will research and find materials to meet those needs. Parents appreciate that she communicates daily if needed and responds to their questions and concerns quickly. Amy also serves on the School Community Council and offers valuable teacher input to help the parents understand the needs of our school and celebrate the great things we are doing.

Mrs. Youngs' Christmas Shoebox Project

Submitted by corallee.findlay on

Parents and students donated toys, school supplies, hygiene items, clothing and more, to make Christmas shoeboxes. These boxes were sent to children around the world who don't get Christmas, let alone any items of their own. We made 21 boxes as a class. These will be delivered this holiday season. Each child will get their own box to enjoy. We also included letters introducing our class and students.

Singing Around the Christmas Tree

Faculty and students enjoyed singing around the Christmas tree during an assembly. Each grade level prepared a Christmas song to perform for the school; even faculty members performed a special version of The Twelve Days of Christmas for the student body. Students also had a surprise visit from Santa.
