SHHS Grade School Mentoring Program

Submitted by corallee.findlay on

The SHHS grade school mentoring program was designed to help the students enrolled in Mr. Jamsa's sociology class have a real world experience in observing the social interactions of elementary aged students.  Mentoring also provides the SHHS students an opportunity to develop leadership skills as they teach and encourage younger students who need the extra support from older peers.

SHHS Wrestlers Visit Foothills

Submitted by corallee.findlay on

SHHS Wrestling Coach, T.J. Brindley, and several wrestlers came to Foothills and put on an assembly for the studentbody.  SHHS Wrestling Team Captains each talked about the values of hard work, determination, building self-confidence, and never giving up on your dreams.  They also talked about the importance of taking care of our bodies by eating right and exercising.  The students enjoyed participating by trying some of the exercises the wrestlers do to keep their bodies fit.  Thanks SHHS wrestlers for coming.  We had a wonderful time.
