Mrs. Elliott's class has been very busy learning about the ancient civilizations that arose in the Fertile Crescent.
Student made Cuneiform tablets with ancient symbols while learning about the Sumerians. They also recreated the Great Pyramids at Giza, Books of the Dead, and mummies in their Sarcophagi while learning about Egypt!
Several students (K-6) at Foothills Elementary took the challenge to finish a half marathon on their own. All students at Foothills completed a half marathon here at school over the past two months, but these students completed another half marathon at home. Way to go!
Several students from Foothills Elementary participated in the annual Salem Witches Run. The Salem Witches Run is a fundraiser for the SHHS Track and Cross Country Teams. This year SHHS teamed up with the Elementary Schools in Salem to promote exercise and healthy habits while creating a “Unity in the Community.” Students could choose to run/walk the 1 mile or 5k. Way to go Falcons!
Congratulations to our Book Fair Winners for reading the most for their grade level.
