First-grade students enjoyed celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday by reading books and participating in math and language arts activities.

This year educators were invited from the Deaf-Blind School to enact a simulation in our classrooms. This was done to help the students understand the challenges facing students in our classroom. The students learned a great deal and have developed a great sense of empathy for all students with disabilities.
