Fourth grade students at Foothills Elementary in Salem celebrated the end of their Mountain Men unit by having a “Trading Blankets” activity on Wednesday, October 14th. Students brought in blankets to sit on and to display any store-bought food or unwanted, garage-sale items to trade with other students. Items traded included anything from stuffed animals, books, pencils, little trinkets, homemade bracelets, sand to candy, chocolate covered pretzels, drinks, and other store-bought goods. The activity was a great success and helped students to learn how to trade.
