The fourth graders have been learning about Utah history this year. After learning about the mountain men, the students got to try out their skills at a Mountain Man Rendezvous. Students had to make use of their balance, strength and bartering skills as they participated. It was a great day!
Ashley Dewsnup, our Skill Building Technician, received the 2021-22 Outstanding Employee Recognition Award! Mrs. Dewsnup received the award from Craig Harvey of Horace Mann. Mrs. Dewsnup does so much for our students and supports them in so many ways! Congratulations!
We had a great time celebrating a wonderful school year at our Family Fun Night! It was beautiful weather and we loved our families coming together to eat, play games, and have fun! Thank you to all the families that came and thank you for an awesome year!

Students at Foothills Elementary participated in the Odyssey of the Mind program. These students worked with a volunteer parent after school each week and had to come up with creative solutions to complex problems. Then, they presented their solution through a performance. We were able to celebrate all these students' hard work and see their performances at our Odyssey of the Mind Showcase.
4th and 5th grade students had the chance to learn and review keyboarding skills this year from our district Keyboarding specialist, Mrs. Holt. The students who were in the top 10% with speed and accuracy were invited to compete in the district competition (pictured here). These students each got a prize and certificate. Miriam Griffiths (4th grade) and Jocelyn Hurst (5th grade) received the "golden keyboard" award for being the fastest keyboarders in our school. Jocelyn also received a cash prize for placing 13th place out of the entire district! Congrats to everyone!
1st grade teachers and students totally took advantage of the nice weather, and brought their classroom to the outdoors. They were wrapping up their measurement unit by using hands-on learning to measure items found outside and around the playground.
