Nebo School District showcases Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education. The award is administered by the Communications and Community Relations Department.

“Mrs. Lundell always goes above and beyond for her students, but recently she had a very difficult student that has never been successful at his previous schools. The student had never bonded with previous teachers or staff at his schools. Mrs. Lundell showed so much love and patience for this child, even as he hit, kicked, and screamed at her. She never lost her cool and never even talked ill of the child when he wasn't around. Her intention was to learn as much as possible about him and to try everything. She would come in on her lunch when other staff were with him, just to make sure he was doing okay. She has been very accommodating and has come up with numerous ways to help him succeed. One example was when she found out he didn't like writing because of the sound of the lead against the paper. She immediately gave him a pen. She allowed him to do his spelling words with bendy sticks that he likes. The student now loves Mrs. Lundell very much and is very attached to her. She shows the perfect balance of love and discipline for this student and all her students.”
