Students in Mrs. Elliott’s sixth-grade class delivered red envelopes to every student in the school for the Chinese New Year. Red envelopes always contain money in China, and are given mostly to kids. Chinese people regard red as the symbol of energy, happiness, and good luck. Giving red envelopes is a way to send good wishes and luck. Thanks for sharing this tradition with us.
