Last week, third-graders at Foothills Elementary spiced up their learning with a creative reading project that was a smashing gourd time. Using glue, paint, yarn, and other art materials, each third-grader decorated a pumpkin to resemble the main character from a book that they are currently reading. From Dogman to the BFG, anyone who has walked down the Third Grade hall has been able to see these pumpkins showcased and observe what a wide and varied range of characters have brought our third-graders joy this season.

It was a great day that capped off a great week at Foothills! Our Spirit Trophy goes to the class in each grade level that has the most students wearing spirit wear. Has your class won yet?
